PROFITABLE LIFE

TEXT: GENESIS 26:18

 

And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them. 

 

Being  profitable is to be:

1. Productive

2. Advantageous

3. Useful

4. Rewarding

5. Valuable

6. Worthwhile

7. Fruitful    Genesis 1:28

8. Expedient

 

Genesis 26 :12-13

And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The Lord blessed him, and the man became rich, and gained more and more until he became very wealthy. 

You can not be profitable without labour therefore we have work to do because profit comes after you have invested your resources. A profit is a financial gain, especially the difference between the amount earned and the amount spent in buying, operating, or producing something.

 

The opposite of being profitable is unprofitable, loss or baren 

 

BASIC PRINCIPLE OF LIVING A PROFITABLE LIFE

 

1. Righteousness Psalm 1:1-4 

1.Blessed is the one

    who does not walk in step with the wicked

or stand in the way that sinners take

    or sit in the company of mockers,

2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

    and who meditates on his law day and night.

3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

    which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—

    whatever they do prospers

1. Know the plan of God for your life Jeremiah 29:11 Genesis 26:2-4 

2. Work hard towards the plan of God Genesis 26:12, Proverb 10:5 says he that gather in the summer is wise but he that sleeps in harvest is a son that causes shame. Do not sleep proverb 6:9-11 a slugger shall be poor. John 5:17 Jesus christ says unto them my father work before now therefore I work

3. Be diligent proverb 20:4, Proverb 22:29 

4. Choose the right company Proverb 13:20

5. Humble yourself

6. Trust God proverb 23:4, 5:6

7. Be persistence Gen 26:17-22

8. Harken diligently to god voice and obey all His commandment He will set you high above all nation of the world Deuteronimy 28:1-13

9. Possess the fruit of the spirit  Galatian 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.  

10. Commitment

11. Tenacity

12. Focus

13. Temprance

 

BENEFIT OF LIVING A PROFITABLE LIFE

1. You will shine

2. Your enemy will bow to you at the result of your labour Genesis 26:28-29

3. You will have peace

 

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father help me to live a profitable life

2. Father please let every of my labour be fruitful

3. Father give me the understanding of your purpose for my life
